The Malagan International Hotel, Kavieng’s waterfront hotel overlooking Nusa Harbour and Nusa Island, is taking shape.
The 5-star hotel is a joint-venture partnership between the New Ireland Development Corporation (NIDC) and developer W&M Industries Limited.
NIDC Managing Director, Mr. Christian Tarkap, confirmed that work is progressing well, with full support from NIDC Chairman, Mr. Benjamin Kimbe.
The Malagan International Hotel is one of three major infrastructure investments by NIDC in Kavieng town, including a three-storey shopping mall currently under construction, located opposite Bisi Trading, Crystal Trading and Hamamas Trading.
Once completed, the hotel will be the largest in the New Guinea Islands region. It is strategically positioned to complement the Kavieng International Airport and is expected to significantly boost the tourism industry in the province.
